We encourage junior scholars to apply to the 16th Conference of Young Demographers (5-7 February in Prague): deadline 28 October 2024. Although the focus is on contemporary demography, historical studies are also welcome. Everyone studying health inequalities during the period 1800-now is therefore welcome to apply. Moreover, the conference offers a very friendly, open and constructive atmosphere to present early-stage research. If accepted, GREATLEAP scholars from ITC countries can apply for an ITC Conference Grant.
Moreover, together with the Young Demographers we will organize a masterclass on ‘Inequalities in health’ in the morning or day before the conference. This masterclass is open to everyone accepted to the conference. In this masterclass you have the chance to discuss your work in progress within a small group of peers and an international expert on the topic. For scholars without funding, GREATLEAP has some limited funds available to cover travel and accommodation costs for the masterclass.
