Call for expression of interest in WG2 working groups

Working Group 2 is coordinating activities related to the standardization and coding of the causes of death into the ICD10h, and the development tools to classifying ICD10h-codes into disease groups. We are happy to announce scholars can apply to engage in one or several (sub)working groups by letting us know their interest here
There are four different types of working groups:
  • Language specific Historic Strings collection and creation
    • Open to everyone interested
    • Different working groups for each language/related languages
    • Acknowledgement as author when Historic Strings file is published
  • New categorisations
    • Open to everyone interested
    • Different working groups for each categorisation
    • Acknowledgement as author when specific Categorisation is published
  •   Underlying causes
    • Needs a small committee with expertise, thus restricted number of members
    • Acknowledgement as author when code is published
  • Code allocation
    • Needs a small committee with expertise, thus restricted number of members
Processing of all answers will start in early October 2024, but the form will remain open after this date. In October the working groups for which enough people have signed up will be put together. If there are not enough people for particular languages or categorisations, we aim to put volunteers into contact with those working on similar topics.
